Warren County Correctional Center in Belvidere is the physical jail for all Hunterdon county inmates. That makes Warren the first office to contact when the question is whether a person remains behind the jail’s control or has crossed its release point. Hunterdon may still own processing, transport, current-report, or alternate-incarceration records tied to the same person.
A Warren custody interval can end through community release, court-ordered release, bail, completion of a sentence, or transfer. A move to NJDOC, ICE, USMS, or another county is an institutional release from Warren but not a return to the community. The destination field resolves that difference. Ask for it every time.

Warren County Two-Agency Release Trail
Since January 2020, Hunterdon has contracted with Warren to keep all Hunterdon inmates. The Hunterdon Corrections page documents that arrangement. The result is a distinct two-agency trail. Hunterdon may create the booking or processing identifier, publish the current report, and transport the detainee. Warren holds the person and records the physical jail event. A careful release account cites each agency for its own stage.
If a name vanishes from Hunterdon’s PDF, the disappearance may reflect movement into Warren rather than release. If Warren later says the person left, ask whether the destination was the community, NJDOC, another county, ICE, USMS, court, or a medical setting. Hunterdon may also record placement in Home Detention or another alternate program.

Warren County Release Record Fields
A narrow request should seek the existing custody-event entry for the named person and date range. Include the Hunterdon HC number, Warren booking identifier, aliases, and date of birth when known. Warren County Release or Transfer
A transfer to NJDOC ends Warren custody and begins a state-prison interval. A release to ICE is likewise an interagency transfer. ICE describes a detainer as a request for advance notice and up to 48 hours of continued custody so it may assume control. ICE’s published scope includes current detainees and people released from ICE custody within the last 60 days.
USMS may hold or transport a federal pretrial person who does not yet appear as a sentenced BOP prisoner. A BOP no-result cannot prove release from Marshals custody. For a sentenced federal person, a past BOP release date or Released status closes BOP custody only. Each system must remain named.

Warren County Release Logistics
No official Warren source located in the research promised a daily release time, weekend or holiday process, specific exit, waiting area, property procedure, discharge ride, or release interval. Transportation needs special planning for Hunterdon families because the jail is in Belvidere, outside Hunterdon County. Hunterdon LINK serves Hunterdon routes and demand response, but no official source promises a direct jail stop or automatic ride after discharge. Warren’s transportation program is also limited. Confirm the pickup location and permissible waiting place with the jail.
